Terms of Service

Effective date: May 22, 2026

Agreement

These terms govern access to Lux, luxdn.com, Lux Invoice, related public pages, account surfaces, APIs, support, and any mobile apps published by Lucas Quinn. Lux Invoice is a new invoice maker for field workers. By using Lux, creating an account, joining a team, buying access, or accessing the service through a mobile store, you agree to these terms.

If you use Lux for a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that business to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Lux.

Accounts and teams

You are responsible for the accuracy of account information, activity under your account, and keeping credentials secure. If you manage a team, you are responsible for invited users, role assignments, permissions, and the data added to that team.

You must promptly tell us about unauthorized access, suspected compromise, or misuse of an account or team.

Invoice records and customer data

Lux Invoice helps create and manage quotes, invoices, clients, line items, PDFs, email, and a manual paid or unpaid label. You are responsible for the content of those records, including client details, prices, taxes, notes, invoice terms, and any documents sent to customers.

Customers cannot pay invoices through Lux, and Lux never asks your customers for card or bank details. You manually update the invoice status yourself.

Lux does not provide legal, tax, accounting, financial, or collection advice. You are responsible for deciding whether an invoice, quote, tax treatment, invoice term, or customer communication is suitable for your business and jurisdiction.

Lux app access and taxes

Paid Lux plans, if offered, are charged according to the price, period, taxes, and terms shown at purchase or in the applicable app store purchase flow.

A Lux app purchase is only for software access. It is separate from every customer invoice you create in Lux, and Lux never collects money from your customers.

You can cancel Lux-managed access from the account surface where available, or by contacting [email protected]. If you purchased through Apple App Store, Google Play, or another app store, cancellation and refund handling may need to be completed through that store under its rules.

Acceptable use

You may use Lux only for lawful business purposes. You must not use Lux, invoices, files, email, public pages, APIs, or integrations to do any of the following:

  • Break the law, violate regulations, avoid taxes, evade sanctions, or mislead regulators.
  • Commit fraud, deception, phishing, account takeover, identity misuse, or unauthorized access.
  • Sell, support, or facilitate illegal goods or services.
  • Collect or process personal information without the rights, notices, consents, or legal basis required.
  • Send spam, abusive messages, malware, harmful code, or content that infringes another party's rights.
  • Interfere with Lux, bypass security, scrape the service, overload infrastructure, or access data you are not authorized to access.
  • Use Lux in a way that creates excessive disputes, refunds, complaints, or platform risk.

We may suspend or terminate access, remove content, block email, disable integrations, or restrict service features if we believe activity violates these terms, law, or security requirements.

User content and permissions

You keep ownership of the business data and content you add to Lux. You grant Lux the rights needed to host, store, copy, format, transmit, display, email, export, secure, back up, analyze, and otherwise process that content to provide and improve the service.

You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to add content and customer data to Lux and to send it to recipients, integrations, and team members as configured by you or your team.

Third-party services

Lux may link to or integrate with third-party services. Third-party services are not controlled by Lux, and their providers are responsible for their own services. Lux is not responsible for third-party outages, changes, fees, decisions, or data practices.

Availability and changes

Lux is an early release product. We aim to keep it available and useful, but we do not promise uninterrupted operation, permanent availability of every feature, or error-free output. We may add, change, limit, or remove features as the product develops.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Lux at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, create risk for Lux, users, or third parties, fail to pay amounts due, or if we are required to do so by law.

After termination, we may retain certain information as described in the Privacy Policy for security, tax, legal, dispute, backup, and compliance reasons.

Intellectual property

Lux, its software, design, branding, documentation, and service content are owned by Lux or its licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership of Lux intellectual property to you. You may not copy, reverse engineer, resell, or provide access to Lux except as allowed by these terms or agreed in writing.

Disclaimers and liability

Lux is provided as is and as available to the maximum extent allowed by law. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Lux will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, provider decisions, tax outcomes, or customer disputes.

Governing law

These terms are governed by New Zealand law, except where mandatory local consumer, privacy, app store, or platform rules apply. Courts with authority in New Zealand will have non-exclusive jurisdiction, unless applicable law requires another forum.

Changes

We may update these terms as Lux changes or as legal, app store, or platform requirements change. When we make a material update, we will update the date on this page and provide additional notice when required.
